found on a rainy day

Another grey, dull day. Then it rained too. Well better that than snow!
I wanted to find a photo that reflected the day, and the weather. I was wondering what on earth I could do? Starting a photo a day project obviously means taking or finding a photo each day, which can be a little difficult on days like this. But it makes you look and think...
So I looked, took a couple of photos I wasn't happy with, then found this still life, perfectly arranged by nature, literally outside my front door.
Finding a picture like this is, I think, the very essence of a pic a day project! Or maybe I got lucky?!
