Feeding time

Having said goodbye to Bingo I am back in residence at Pookie-and-Monty's. This afternoon I was sitting outside in the sunshine, reading the paper, with Pookie snoozing on the table beside me, when I became aware of the sound of nearby birds.

These six youngsters were perched along the gutter of the house, waiting patiently to be fed, then every 30 seconds or so there would be a frantic flapping of wings and loud chirping as each one shouted, "Me! Me! Me! Me!" and the mother would swoop up and pass over a titbit to one of them.

A split second later they were all sitting waiting patiently again. I watched them for ages. It was fascinating.
