Our first water-lily flower

The water-lily in our mini pond is flowering for the first time - and it's a real beauty! We're so glad to see it!

We spent most of the day at the allotment. I mowed the lawns, weeded the carrot bed in the veggie plot and watered. M was mostly indoors knitting away on the fair isle sweater, but he helped me filling up the potato buckets with compost. He's got a slipped disc causing pain in two nerves, so he is not allowed any gardening at the moment.

The birds all seem to have babies, crying out for food from every shrub and bird box in our garden. A wonderful day! Temperatures were low, around +13°C, but we had sunshine most of the day. Happy Midsummer to you all!

Cheers/Z (and M says hello, too)
