Little Skipper

Visited Barlow Common today for a nature walk.

The site is not far from Drax Power Station on land reclaimed from railway sidings and rubble dumps and has now been transformed into fishing ponds and meadows. Because the soil is poor it is ideal for wild flowers including many bee orchids.

Did get a picture of the orchids but decided on this one as he obliged me by staying still.
