50's Gasstation

The roof of this gas station is pretty special and I wondered if its really classic 1950's or a remake.
It looks pretty old, so I guess it's original but I just can't find background info on the web.

Regardless, it's a very special sight when the first upcoming sunlight breaks in the glass roof as you can see.
I also shot this almost two years ago - 28th of july 2012 to be precise - and as you'll notice by backblipping there is suddenly a flat where there used to be cars parked.
