Where Next?

Not dark yet

It's the summer solstice and at just gone 10 o'clock it wasn't fully dark out.

This is Morningside clock on the left, it used to stand right in the middle of the road and marked the entrance to Morningside railway station which closed in 1962. The railway passes under the road and it's mostly used by freight trains now. It's a useful landmark and something we always tell people to look out for on the bus so they know which stop is near our flat!

Andy is away in Fort William having done the '10 under the Ben' mountain bike race today. The team he was in came 4th but he got the fastest over all lap! In other sports news - I did my 5 mile run today. I had been slightly nervous about it all week but I'm pleased to say that it was much easier than I had thought it would be - maybe some of this training is starting to pay off?! Still along way to go to get to the 13 miles, but plenty of time yet.

Today is the longest day of the year and the official start of summer, the days will get shorter from here on in. It's not dark yet, but it's getting there...

I'll be a bit quiet on blip for a week or so as we are going to Spain tomorrow (if Andy is back from Fort William in time... eek!)
