Banded Snail

Today’s picture is of a Banded Snail on an Apple branch. It depicts how the GOG feels his progress is going; very slowly.

He is still on fluids only as they are still resting his internal plumbing. When I arrived this afternoon at 1445 hours they were in the process of changing his dressing. Well twenty minutes earlier the nurse that was doing it and who had not been capable had managed to prod and poke the wound and then gone to lunch. The curtains were round him and his wound exposed to the air! Another nurse came and put a temporary dressing on while they waited for a senior doctor. At 1845 hours when he telephoned me after I arrived home the senior doctor, or any doctor at all, had not appeared.

If you have to stay in Addenbrookes, avoid L4 at all costs; it is, in our opinion, the worst ward to be in. Last September when he was in L4 the care was not good; it has not improved and I shall be making another complaint.
