St Conan's Kirk

Visited Saint Conan's Kirk on the banks of Loch Awe as we passed today, I blipped this Kirk before some years ago but it really is an odd building and worth a second visit. It is much younger than it first appears, started in 1881 and completed around 1927, it is still in use as a place of worship. I think it includes every style of ecclesiastical architecture found in Scotland, it even has flying buttresses and rabbit and hippo gargoyles. Worth a visit if you are passing.
