Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Vintage Carriages

These recently, beautifully restored Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway carriages delighted rail enthusiasts today in the sunshine at Oxenhope Station on the Keighley and Worth Valley preserved railway line. Wilsden Brass Band was there on the platform to serenade them as they were pulled into and out of the station by loco 1054.
Playing in the band was fellow blipper Airedaleknitter, while Midgehole Dave and Corinthian were present too, resulting in a most enjoyable impromptu Blipmeet. Great to meet you, guys! Got to meet the lovely Polly Dog and Mrs. Midgehole Dave too. Wonderful! It appears that lovelupins17 was there too, but somehow I missed her. Since both Midgehole Dave and lovelupins17 have already blipped photographs of the band or of the band and the train, I’ve decided to go with a shot of the lovely carriages which I suspect will only be in service on very special occasions.
