Penshurst Place

View of the back of Penshurst Place seen on our short 5m walk today. Now Mr P has finished his 54m charity walk there is not so much pressure to do really long distances. If anyone is interested he did his 54m in 16.5 hours and finished 6/209 so he must have jogged some of it. The blisters on his feet had to be seen to be believed. I am so impressed that he carried on in pain.

Penshurst Place is one of the most complete examples of 14th-century domestic architecture in England surviving in its original location. Part of the house and its gardens are open to the public and there many public footpaths over the estate. The Long Gallery was used to record floorboard creaking sound effects for all the Harry Potter films.
