Baby grasshopper

I was very close to the ground this afternoon, grubbing up oak saplings which had taken hold over the spring and were hidden by bluebells. (We have a garden the size of a postage stamp!) This little chap or chappett was hopping around all over the place. I really hope he/she survived being eaten by the blackbird which was following me around!
