Everyday I Write The Book

Pulling it around

This is a bit of industrial archaeology from the Wey Navigation at Walsham Gates; an old fashioned pulley, presumably for keeping a longboat under control when the lock was being used. The Navigation dates from 1653, which is an amazingly old bit of history from the days of the industrial revolution.

Warning:  tenuous link follows.

One of the greatest competencies you can develop is the ability to move on quickly from adversity and make your mindset a positive one. Had to do a bit of that today. Pulled it around when we were badly let down. Now for plan B.

Okay you can relax. No more pulley themes.

Anyway my other achievement today was to put up two velux and one roman blind. For a man who is useless at DIY this was quite an achievement...
