Homecoming on Loch Fyne

last night after returning from Bannockburn we headed to Stralachlan on the opposite banks of Loch Fyne for a homecoming ceilidh at the home of Clan Mac Lachlan

A very posh kind of do in the grounds of the ancient pile called Mac Lachlan Hall . I was there to call the dances as many of them had come across the big pond from America , Canada and New Zealand for the clan gathering and didn't know the dances.

A grand night followed by an interesting day at the old castle with the Dunoon Grammar pipe band playing for the opening of the new bridge designed and built by members of the clan themselves.

Very impressed by the way these far flung clan members have worked to improve the old castle and the access to it by building the bridge, if you look really closely at the large view you can just see the bridge in the background behind the band.
