El Prado, Balboa Park, San Diego

Balboa Park was little used until the 1915 Panama - California Exposition. Buildings were constructed along a promenade, "El Prado", and their fantasy Spanish Colonial architecture has since inspired much of SoCal's Spanish look (so the guidebook says!)

Anyway, it's a good place to wander on a Sunday afternoon!
