Sunbeams

There was the threat of a shower and we have been waiting anxiously for the baler contractor to arrive before a drop of rain would spoil all the dried grass. He was coming from the Blackmore Vale and kept delaying his arrival with us but luckily no sooner had he arrived in the late afternoon he was virtually gone as his task took a very short time to work through the three smallish fields. We asked him to do the job this year as he makes large square bales which break up into eight little bales - useful for horse owners or people who only want to feed a little hay at a time. The dried grass was still a little damp after a week despite being turned so we just hope the bales wont cause a fire in the barn. Damp hay grass can heat up.

Lovely hot day, gardening and house chores.
