We are on a cycling trip from Vancouver to Powell River. We thought that we had made it to the Earl's Cove- Saltery Bay ferry crossing a hour early but it turned out that I hadn't noticed the *(except for Sunday) notice and we rode in just as the ferry was leaving the dock. It wouldn't have hurt so badly except that the next ferry didn't leave for 6 hours (SIX!) and we still had a couple hours more to ride to get to Powell River. Fortunately there was an awesome little restaurant with good beer/atmosphere/and food so that was our silver lining. Hard day of riding 94km whilst fully loaded with camping gear!! Our legs are feeling pretty shaky at this point. This pic was taken of Patrick when we finally got on the ferry.
