Derelict

I went out with my friend Pete for a 40 mile bike ride this morning.

We rode up the 'Col de Larkstoke' which is the highest point in Warwickshire. It was a steep climb and a first ascent for both of us. We had ridden down it a few times but thought it looked rather steep the other way!

I would have liked a picture of us beside the television mast on the top but had not taken my camera with me.

On the way I stopped by a gap in the hedge (!) and rather liked this derelict wind pump on the skyline. I went back later in the car to take this shot. I initially wanted to do it in B/W but rather liked the effect of a luminosity blending layer in photoshop.
