Hot

It has been so hot today we've had two fans going. We are so lucky in that our flat is cool in the Summer. We have the sun in the morning and then it moves round. Compared to our flat in Reading it is a joy. So, for us to have fans on is quite unusual. We enjoyed a walk round a local park late afternoon once we'd finished work. It was pleasant sitting watching children play and people sitting reading.

The day started with a mild panic. The kitchen sink was blocked. We knew we had had a plunger somewhere, somewhen, probably two house moves ago. Couldn't find it. So his nibs hiked off into town to the hardware shop. Meanwhile I found the plug hole cleaner liquid stuff in the back of the cupboard and applied it once the water had gradually sunk through the plug hole. His nibs arrived back with plunger and 'professional' cleaner. The warnings on the stuff scared me rigid! A few applications of the plunger and lots of boiling water and the sink was cleared. I was so glad I didn't have to use the extra strong cleaner.
