Lest we forget

This memorial is set amidst a sea of poppies and other wild flowers in Elvaston Castle Country Park. I've never noticed it before and so maybe it's been placed here earlier this year, the 100th anniversary of World War One.

My son had arranged to come to my house after work yesterday and it was lovely to see him, eat dinner with him and send him off to work with a sandwich this morning, something I haven't been able to do for a while. He's staying here tonight as well.

Jasper however, was not so pleased and growled softly at him for the first hour...
