The Graduate

I have looked at this sculpture at the bottom of Guildford High Street many times and admired it. I think it fits the title for a blip 'The Graduate' well, as many students will hopefully be attending their graduation ceremonies in the next few weeks.

The image is of 'The Surrey Scholar', created in 2002 by Allan Sly (Sculptor). It was presented by the vice-chancellor of Surrey University, to celebrate Guildford as a place of culture and scholarship.
