Puzzling Trees

These are such odd looking trees, almost prehistoric. And why are they called Monkey Puzzle trees?

Was at a loss about what to blip today, think the weekend is catching up with me. Went to pick R up from her piano lesson and noticed this fine specimen. Easier to capture the branches than the whole tree. Probably better bigger.
