Recital

At the end of a busy day CMC spends some time at the piano with her mother, tinkling away at a selection from the Orkney Collection. Note how CMC is discreetly sitting playing side saddle. No Russ Conway connection intended.

It was her mother's 85th birthday today so CMC took her to visit North Ronaldsay for the first time. They spent the day with Billy and Isobel.

Meantime I took my mother to the pictures in Kirkwall to see a real classic film 'Another time, Another place' an adaptation of the Jessie Kesson book, starring Phyllis Logan.

We all ended up for high tea at the Kirkwall hotel, later in the evening we went to visit friends in Stromness before returning home for the piano recital.

Participated in only my third Blipmeet when Houseonahill (and her trusty minder) perchanced to visit the Orphir Community Cafe for cheese/fudge/strawberry scones. After Baz performed a cabaret, whilst I phoned North Ronaldsay to ask where I could find the recipe to make the guests a cuppa.
