On the move

Finally, they are into the field with all the orchids below the house. The grass growth this spring/summer has been remarkable so it needs to be eaten down before it gets any longer. If it isn't eaten down, it becomes too long and goes rank. Rank grass does not grow good flowers fodder. Sometimes a sacrifice has to be made, and this year the field we called Wigwam 1, is that sacrifice.

As the sun was shining I stole out for an hour to photograph some of the flowers in the field before the cows start lying on them, or worse still eating them. It was looking absolutely stunning!.

End of term tomorrow. Ceremony of Achievement in the morning. A few errands to run and then packing...
