Here we go again (again)

Re-calibration

Regular viewers will already be aware of my obsession with bike racing, and of my regular visits to Knockhill Circuit in Fife.

Most of the year it's track-days and club racing, but once a year the British Superbike Championship comes to town to show the locals how it's done.
And every year you're reminded just how fast these boys really are.

Watching them wrestling 200 bhp fire-breathing monsters round this tight wee track really gets the heart pounding.
This is former champion Ryuichi Kiyonari braking from about 150mph to 40 for the final corner.

As much as I love football, I can't help but compare these men with the pampered prima-donnas currently flouncing around in Brazil, rolling on the grass in "agony" and chomping lumps out of each other.

So if you need a break from football, get yourself along to Knockhill this weekend and watch these guys doing their thing.
I promise you won't be disappointed!
