All Aboard!

Daughter Danielle and team mates have been performing at the Baton Twirling National Finals in Taunton today and which carries on through tomorrow as well.

I popped out during the lunch beak to the railway station at Bishops Lydeard and as luck would have it the train was just about to depart for Minehead. I remember the steam engines as a child and we had a local station until Beeching's report and subsequent closures in the 1960s. Still, it's great that enthusiasts keeps the West Somerset Railway going in all its glory; very nostalgic and long may it continue.
