Baggie Trousers

The Longest Day

We're out for my birthday and on a pub crawl which takes us from the Old Crown down the bottom end of Digbeth - scene of heavy fighting during the Civil War, when the inn was an important coaching house on a crossing of the River Rea - via Brindleyplace and the Lord Clifden in Hockley, down to the Rectory, the Welly, the Old Joint Stock and eventually back to the Bull in the Gun Quarter. Along the way, we encounter Buddhist activists encouraging people to change the world through meditation (with the excellent slogan "Don't just do something, SIT THERE!") and of course, South Brum Mods out in force down the Custard Factory, as evidenced by their mini-armada of scooters.
