Sunday morning visitor

Our neighbours idea of food recycling is to throw left overs out for the birds. There seems to be a variety of waste discarded in this way: bread, rice and sliced meat.

This wood pigeon arrived too early for breakfast this morning and sat, placidly, on the fence for about ten minutes.

Often the birds are much bigger and mire raucous and includes herring gulls, carrion crows and ravens.
