Four Types Of Horse Power

Spent the day with my wife and brother-in-law at the Ipswich Transport and Model Festival - a very enjoyable day too.

Starting at the Ipswich Transport Museum - this contains a number of interesting displays including, a selection of historic bikes, lawnmowers, fire engines, even prams! and this was also the home of the switchgear for the trolleybus system that ran in Ipswich during 1937 to 1963.

After having a nice cup of coffee/tea and a scone in the tea rooms, we boarded one of a number of historic buses that took us to 4 different venues (a model railway shop, Ipswich Railway Modellers Association, a model railway exhibition and Ipswich Model Engineering Society); running to a timetable of a bus every 20 minutes from each venue - very well organised.

I took this image whilst visiting the Ipswich Railway Modellers Association, where there were trade stands as well as railway layouts. This is a section of one of the layouts - to me it looks so real; as if I have stepped back in time.
