Red Admirable (Vanessa atalanta)

This was thought to be the original name of this butterfly and not the naval Red "Admiral". There are quite few in the garden now together with several Painted Ladies! A Hummingbird Hawkmoth was also seen hovering by the pink Valerian. All quite difficult to photograph today as they seemed to be quite flighty enjoying the moisture after the rain.

Lazy day with a little gardening. T's New Zealand friends left to drive to Devon before ending up at Heathrow on Tuesday.
