A Dog's Dinner

Old Man of the Trees

This is my old mate John. He is a world expert on trees - well he would like to think he is.

Trees are his latest passion, so he spent this morning pretending he knew the name of every tree we passed. He also came up with the wheeze of adding the word 'field' to the name of any tree which I though he may have got wrong.

'This, for example,is a maple,
No it not, it looks nothing like a maple it's an alder
No it's a field maple, they look different,
Oh,right then'

So in honour of his new status as The Grand Old Man of the Woods, he got his picture taken in the style of Snowdon's JRRTolkein

Unfortunatly he was confusing me with someone who was interested in his ramblings.
