The Many Faces of Plants

The delicate, magenta petals of this plant contrasted very nicely against the dried, weathered boards of this fence, which, when you think about it, is actually also a plant that has been killed and then processed into plank shapes, then formed into a fence. Does it cease to be a plant? Is a hamburger still a cow? Am I still too jet-lagged to write coherently?
