Lady Zooty

Lady Zooty and her husband Lord Zero (who wears a top hat and tails) are two of Kemp Town's characters. Zooty used to be a midwife and grew up in the North East. She told me once that she used to feel that she disappeared into the wallpaper. When her 4 children grew up, she created a new identity for herself and moved to Brighton where she felt she could be whoever she wanted to be. "I am what I am" is the Kemp Town anthem.
She is a highly intelligent, lovely woman and we have endless debates in our local coffee shop.
