Carol's ramblings

Health appointments

Set off early from Berkshire, taking pa-in-law to Charing Cross Hospital for some investigations, travelling by public transport. He was a little miffed at not getting a senior citizen rate on the train, and then the cost of the bus (for 2 stops) for me (he has his bus pass) of £2.40 each trip!

Actual investigations took about an hour and that was fine - apart from being, quite strongly, advised to stop smoking. At nearly 85 he sees this as his only pleasure.

Lunch in the hospital restaurant was pleasant before heading back on the return trip. I think he was grateful to be home, to have a little cat-nap.

I decided to seek medical advise, having had a daily headache for around a week and popping paracetamols fairly regularly. Anti-biotics prescribed - for sinusitis - so hopefully will feel better soon.

Back to work tomorrow.
