Peewits

I dropped by the hide again today - lots happening, but nothing extra-special. I had several blips to choose from, but this one seemed to me to capture the spirit of the place - very placid loch, with lots of birds swirling around, calling and fluttering at each other. A flock of half-a-dozen Peewits (Lapwing - Vanellus vanellus) came tumbling by. I like their white underbellies and the black wing-tips - like fluttering white palms with the finger-tips dipped in ink...
