PYO

I know I posted a strawberry photo not long ago but these are special strawberries. These strawberries were picked by my own grubby little mitts at my local PYO place, Essington Fruit Farm this afternoon, with a friend I haven't seen all year. I was surprised by just how many strawberries they had, obviously people haven't cottoned on that's it's PYO season yet! Pick Your Own is a summer tradition for me, it's a shame there's not many PYO places left across the UK. Essington is a great place, a huge variety of fruits and veg for you to pick and a great little farm shop. We had a look at raspberries too, which I prefer, but they're about a week off being ready. I know what I'm doing next weekend!
