Convoy! But not with Kris Kristofferson...

Coming back from an incredibly disappointing free concert to celebrate 25 years since the Hungarians told the Russian soldiers to piss off back to their own country (the disappointment came in the realisation that if you advertise a concert as "free", any meaningful political message gets vaporised in the cheap alcoholic haze that comes with the veritable army of toothless, old, unwashed old "rockers", who descend on the venue like well, like shoppers when the beans are on sale). Leaving the "walking dead" to enjoy what they could discern of the concert we wandered back home, stopping for a drink in a new champagne bar - very groovy - the toilet is in a cupboard. Almost home and we were stopped in our tracks, not once, not twice, but three times, by individual convoys taking some German bigwigs back to the airport. Given that the Scorpions were also appearing at the concert we failed to attend, we wondered whether they too, formed part of the German delegation, but no information has been revealed to date regarding that. The only confirmation we do have is that Kris Kristofferson was not driving the lead vehicle. That was a policeman.
