Garden Delicacies

Today we enjoyed the first fruit off our raspberry bush, two small berries. We have been protecting the small bush from the birds and bunnies with wire fencing and diligently watering since it was planted this spring. The berries might have been picked a tad bit early, but we decided to take the risk of them being sour out of fear of something else eating them before us. Selfish? Maybe. But a gardener needs her rewards, no matter how small.
