Stratford

Last day at Warwick spent in Stratford-upon-Avon with Erin, her Mum and Tash - rather fitting for an English student to be spending her last day at University visiting Shakespeare's grave, really.

Wandered along the canal to get to Holy Trinity, the church where Shakespeare's grave lies, curse and all. Really beautiful church, shame about how touristy it is. Felt like a bit of an anti-climax, especially with every other American around me making jokes about that 'second best bed'. But it was good to have done the tourist trap part of Stratford, I've been there far too many times now to not have seen it all. Still glad I spent my time in the theatre rather than seeing Shakespeare's bed and Shakespeare's house and Shakespeare's cutlery drawer and so on and so forth.

Had a lovely lunch at The One Elm before a quick last stop-off at the RSC, a play around with the dress-up box (Tash) and a peruse of the gift shop (Me).

Wasn't feeling so good for most of the day and ended up passing out for about four hours afterwards. Went for a few drinks (of water and orange juice) with the flatmates, and got a bit emotional when Rob's flatmates all turned up to say goodbye as a surprise. Still doesn't feel real.
