Now in Brussels -

- surprisingly! Originally we were to take a direct flight from Lisbon to Helsinki, but now had to stay an extra night in Lisbon. Which would not have been that bad, had we not had to linger at the airport the whole day and evening - and had the flight back home not been scheduled to depart at 7am!

Now we had a whole day in Brussels having arrived in the morning with our connecting flight leaving after 7pm. Luckily we could take a train to the centre, look around the beautiful old town, have lunch there (Belgian food is really good!) and meet with my cousin A-M at a cafeteria, too.

The narrow, winding streets in the old town are very nice with lots of small artesan boutiques like this one, where they prepared pastry in full view of passers-by.
