When Worlds Collide

It's A Sin

Living next to the sea has many fine compensations. This morning's sunrise is a thing of beauty, caught here early but still full of glorious promise.

A few miles up the beach things are not so beautiful: bulldozers rip the heart out of the Menie Sands, a violent desecration for the benefit of Donald Trump and his grasping, unscrupulous minions, good Americans with hands firmly on hearts telling us it's all for our own damn good.

Money and prestige are today's glittering prizes but who cares about the consequences? Neither local nor national government, sadly, shameful both in their scramble to drop their collective pants to Mr. Trump, cheeks burning bright with hope that they can benefit somehow from this enormous vanity project.

It's a sin.
