I have a real passion for diesel electric traction from the 60's and 70s. Yes I know its my age blahh blahhh.... but I particularly like Type 20's.

In the 70's you'd see them doing grunt work and even by then they were a bit 'long in the tooth' and not powerful enough to do most BR stuff. You'd see them working in pairs more often than not and they always reminded me of a couple.

Here's a fab pair - well into their retirement in great condition doing something for Direct Rail Services.
