steeplejack

A steeplejack nears the top of St Andrew’s Church spire while carrying out repairs to the Victorian monolith, opened in 1865. I went because I’d heard (via Facebook) that peregrines were nesting on the scaffold erected by workmen but didn’t see any falcons. Regardless, the scaffold was removed shortly afterwards.
