shotlandka's weebig world

Tiny toes

Back down visiting the wee troublemaker and his incredibly tired Mum, after her stressful day yesterday when he terrified her with an extreme reaction to a blood transfusion - and the rest of us too, but we weren't there to see the monitors at the time, before being summarily ejected from the room. It turns out he wasn't moved back to ICU, that was just a threat to keep him in line (hmmm!), and he is still in his HDU spot with yet more twins to keep him company. He is getting more active help with breathing at the moment, and has more tubes than usual, so I decided his wee feet were the way to go for today's blip.

As ever, he's doing his best to pull off and out any wires he can get to, and has worked out how to use the wee splint on his arm and the connections attached to it to further his cause - not at all what the medical staff planned for the splint to be used for - the whole point is to keep his arm still so the line in it doesn't come out... He may not be able to take that one out, but he can get pretty much everything else! This probe on his foot actually makes his foot look radioactive as it glows reddish pink, but in the photo it comes out a bizarre shade of pinky-purple in the centre which is very distracting, but can't be removed without losing colour in the skin tones, which is not good, hence the decision to go mono again. Thanks to you all for your prayers, comments and interests in his progress, it is very much appreciated, even if I've not had the time to respond individually.
