Paper Roses

These are petals my mother saved from a wreath from my fathers death last October.

She put a red rose and a yellow rose in a glass tumbler and placed it beside the bed he was laid out in.

I pressed them in a big fat cookery book a few days after, put the book under lots of other fat books and almost forgot about them! So did my Mother... I duly found the book back in the bookshelf!

I just opened them out now.

Don't they look amazing?

They still smell of Roses too! The aroma hit me in the face when I peeled back the paper they were pressed in.

I think I will preserve them in a nice frame.

Glad to be back blipping.
