Chanterelles make an appearance

After a year with no chanterelles (Cantharellus ciborium) they are starting to be big enough to pick for a gourmet feast. I always pick into a basket, cleaning as i go, as I feel the spores falling from the fungi have a chance to set new areas of growth. I only pick ones large enough to have cast spores already and never take them all either - all hoping to keep them going for the future.
I cooked these with a little garlic, sherry and double cream.
