Surprise kite

For the last few weeks my drive home has been interrupted by a red kite that emerges from the trees and flies across the road in front of me about 10ft off the ground...so.....tonight I thought I will take the camera and lie in wait........

...as expected it didn't appear!

So as I was putting everything away to drive home it decided to make a sneak appearance behind the trees...just watching to see just how much it had annoyed me by not appearing on cue!

So here he is...a brief glimpse of the kite in question with a smug 'can't catch me' expression on its beak!
