On Form and Fiction

Part of a recreation of Steven Campbell's installation On Form and Fiction first shown in Glasgow in 1990, and now at the Royal Scottish Academy.

It looks like a badly hung and badly lit exhibition, but apparently that's intentional. The artist created a museum-like setting, including over-exposed lighting effects, and covered the walls with ink drawings and several large acrylic paintings.

Part of the experience includes a tape recorder playing the sixties song, Je t’aime. Loudly, and in middle of the afternoon. It might be acceptable in Glagow, but it's just not on in Edinburgh.
