Just fledged

This young house sparrow was under the undergrowth being fed by both parents. It had a a low fluttering flight so wouldn't stand a chance if a cat came. Luckily it wasn't in my garden or the neighbour's cats would make short work of it.

I went bowling this morning and one of the men bowled, hit the jack and the bowl broke in half. It was interesting to see inside one, it was a sort of resin that felt like concrete.
