Allez les Bleus!

To Dyrham Park this morning with 'The Godmother' for a walk around the gardens and deer park....

Dyrham Park is a beautiful National Trust property that sits on the edge of the Cotswolds, looking towards Bristol and across to the Welsh hills. I love walking down the long winding drive from the car park, as the magnificent late 17th-century mansion suddenly comes into view in such a glorious setting. The house has been used as a filming location for many period films and dramas, including The Remains Of The Day, staring Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson.

I took many, many photos but I chose this shot as it shows the house's setting at its best, and I like the way the sun suddenly appeared and shone down on the house, like a spotlight from above.....

Now watching France vs Germany quarter-final, and as we're sipping Champagne, we have to shout, "Allez les Bleus!!!"
