Soldier Beetles

Also known as 'bonking beetles' for obvious reasons. Saw them, loads of them, on my early morning walk. These cow parsley heads become landing zones for all sorts of insects at this time of year.

Still luxuriating in the new shower in the new bathroom. It's been worth waiting for.

Used an extension tube for this and this is the first time in the wild for these on the Oly, in fact it's the first time I've used extension tubes in about 40 years. Back then it was on a Zenit. So nice to have your focus and exposure worked out for you, rather than having to refer to crib sheets to work out the exposure compensation. We have life so easy these days.
